The Regiment is coming off of an outstanding joint mission at Shaw AFB with the “Killer Bees” of Bravo Troop,  the MP’s of Expeditionary Troop, and the Vipers of Charlie Troop. We held the Huey Pilots of Mike Troop in PA as our Regimental Reserve but will be calling on them for “Thunder” support in May.

AT the CFF Board meeting, LTC Wilkerson "Roscoe" of Shaw AFB was inducted into the "Order of the Spur" and was presented his "Golden Combat Spurs".  Roscoe briefed the Board on the success of ShawFest and told us he's planning bigger and better things for us at the next airshow.  He also told us that there might be a show next year at McEntire.  HOOAH!

Progress on "Madam X" has slowed due to CSM Nance pulling full+ duty at McEntire Joint National Guard Base, getting the units ready to deploy to the Middle east.  Verne said he's added a new four letter word to his cussing vocabulary - it's "CH47".  Don't forget to suppport our troops as they prepare for combat AGAIN!

Next up will be the November Veterans Day Parades in Charleston and Columbia, the Historic Doolittle Raider Reunion in April 09, and the Celebrate Freedom Festival “Thunder at Fort Jackson” in May 09, plus some surprise announcements regarding expanding the Squadron.

Our Senior Viper "Mr. Earl" will be attending!

Here he is getting ready to pull the prop through - "Switch Off"  "Contact"
