SITREP June 2009
1. School Ed Day went off without a
hitch, we hosted about 400 middle school kids from all around the midlands
area as well as numerous home school kids! The days activities were recorded
by the SC Department of Education and ETV for broadcast to 75,000 students
around the state. Colonial Life, the event major
sponsor, helped out with volunteers, computer assets, and graphics support.
As well as financial support. Thanks Colonial! If you missed the
wonderful lesson plans created for this event, they're still online - if you
want to learn about the Doolittle Raiders, its worth a visit. Created by our
own historian - Bruce Cotner.

2. The 67th Doolittle Raiders
Reunion was a resounding success. All organized activities were sold
out affairs. The Raiders we honored left with smiles, fond
memories, and even more stories to tell. The visitors got to meet, greet
and eat a meal with some true heroes.

3.The CFF "Thunder" at Ft. Jackson was
formed under threatening skies and a reduced budget, but we still produced a
first class exhibition. The event started with over 600 troops
charging from out of the woods to a formation in front of the viewing stand.
