Drill this weekend, April 11th.
Maintenance will probably show up at oh-dark-thirty and the pilots will
probably meander in around 9 or 10. Just make sure you are there,
NLT 1000hrs. Saturday weather looks good with only a 10% chance of
rain with a low of 51 and a high of 76. HOOAH! Looks like
good Stinson weather!!! Get the hint Rudy??? Stinson not
Stetson.
1. Tasks to accomplish will be the
unloading - inspecting - arranging of the APU's and what ever
equipment that arrived from Mike Troop. Not sure if they are at LZ
Owens or at our location. Will determine prior to
Drill.
2. Continue to work on AC# 517, our
target date for all paperwork was the end of March - did we make it?
3. Determine if we can move AC# 352
next store to the Medivac hangar - complete move if
possible. Col Webb and/or SSG Anderson was to coordinate with
Lifeflight to get permission.
4. John Geddings to install 300W
motion detection light on rear hangar door, so long as CSM Thompson
doesn't mind replacing his 6 volt 1 watt night light with the new 110 volt
300 watt spotlights..............also install external video security
camera.
5. Determine feasibility of cleaning
up Link trainer and transporting it to CAE for School Ed Day. It would
make a great display inside the WWII hangar. I understand it weighs
a ton..............
6. Discuss unlimited opportunities during
the Doolittle Reunion and School Ed days. I've only had a hand full
of volunteers sign up for work in the CFF Museum store. This message
goes out to about 75 members! I NEED HELP! We'll also discuss other
opportunities during event.
7. Usual police of the area and a FOD sweep
of the flight line.
8. BRING A FRIEND! Recruit some
new members.
9. Discuss a new naming convention for our
Squadron as it's already taken by an active army unit at Hunter
:-(
10. Any luck in location a replacement LAW to
replace the one Chris lost?
11. I'll bring tickets for members to purchase for
all of the Raiders activities. It sure would be grand if we could
get 10 Viper Troop members and spouses to purchase a Banquet ticket and
show the crowd the dedication of our members. Quad A is buying
a table (maybe two) - I've already committed to buying a ticket with my QB
group. If you don't know what a Quiet Birdman is - if I tell you I'd
have to kill you. A bunch of us are also going to attend the hangar
dance on Saturday night. If you'd rather order online, go to
the CFF website or call Anna at the office.
12. Speaking of online. After you read this,
please go to the CFF website, click on School Ed days, then click on
Colonial Life, and then click on the "Click here for a video."
I want to make sure they see a lot of "visitors" in their
stats. Gotta keep the sponsors happy. :-)
See you Saturday, somewhere around 9 or 10, as I meander
in.............. |
