The Hump

 

Although it came late to the war, the C-46 Commando earned great fame air-lifting supplies over the Hump in the China - Burma - India Theater.




Few aircraft are as well known or were so widely used for so long as the C-47 or "Gooney Bird" as it was affectionately nicknamed.

World War II vetrans of the China-Burma-Inda theatre will be on hand at Celebrate Freedom^TM to share their experiences. Many histroy and social science teachers have specifcally requested to meet and interview the CBI service members. Let's honor these men and women who helped to preserve our nations freedom
