Green Beret Parachute Team

One of the main attractions at Celebrate Freedom ^TM will be the U.S. Army Special Forces "Green Beret" Parachute Team.  These special soldiers will perform multiple free-fall parachute jumps over the airfield,where they will descend to a perfect bull's-eye landing. When not in the air, members of the "Green Berets" will be in the Viet Nam living history area where they will demonstrate how to fold and pack their parachutes, while discussing the unique aspects of their training.

 

The Special Forces are the most elite soldiers in the United States Army. They are highly motivated and specially selected experts in conventional and unconventional warfare. The physical and mental requirements are particularly demanding. Their reputation as fearless fighters is known worldwide.
